How much does a loyalty program cost in Australia?
Published · Updated
In Australia a loyalty program costs A$0 to about A$200 a month per location. Square Loyalty is A$49 to A$149 a month per location; Stamp Me is A$49 to A$199 + GST; some wallet-card apps start at US$12 to US$25 a month (all checked 27 September 2026). Rewardtree's core is A$0 forever.
The price landscape, mapped
Loyalty pricing in Australia comes in four shapes:
- Paper: the cost of each print run, plus reprints, plus every reward a photocopied card claims, plus the customer list you never collect. Cheap on the invoice, expensive everywhere else.
- Loyalty app platforms: a monthly subscription, A$49–A$199 a month (Stamp Me, excluding GST, one location per plan) or US$12–US$98 (Loyally and Loopy Loyalty, billed in US dollars). Some make customers download the vendor's app before they can join; others put the card straight into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
- Loyalty built into your till (POS): Square Loyalty is the big one, from A$49 to A$149 a month per location, tiered by loyalty visits. In return, points add up at the till with no extra scan. It only makes sense if you sell through Square.
- Free, with a card in the phone's wallet: how Rewardtree works. The card lives in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, your staff scan it with the free Rewardtree Merchant app, and the loyalty program costs A$0 with unlimited members, locations and staff. Growth (A$29 a month + GST) is only for when you want to send your members messages yourself.
Every competitor price above was checked on the company's own pricing page on 27 September 2026. Prices change, so check their page before you buy.
What the yearly numbers look like
One location at A$49 a month: A$588 a year. Three: A$1,764. That is the entry price on both Square Loyalty and Stamp Me (Stamp Me adds GST); busier shops on Square's higher tiers pay A$1,188 or A$1,788 a year per location. The loyalty cost calculator does this sum for any fee and any number of locations, and gives you a link you can share.
The question worth asking any vendor (including us): which part of this actually brings the customer back? The card itself (visible progress towards a reward they know they'll get) costs nothing to run. Everything else is convenience. Pay for it only when it pays you back.

What do app-based loyalty platforms charge?#
Prices on each official site, 27 September 2026: Stamp Me A$49–A$199 a month + GST per location (Lite and Elite were marked as a limited-time offer); Loopy Loyalty US$25–US$95 a month; Loyally US$12–US$98 a month; Square Loyalty A$49–A$149 a month per location. How is Rewardtree free — where's the catch?#
The loyalty program itself (your card in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, the free Merchant app, unlimited members, your customer list download) is free forever and never asks for a credit card. We make money when a business chooses Growth (A$29 a month + GST) to send its members messages itself. Everything that happens by itself stays free.
