The best loyalty app for an Australian business is one your customers will join: a card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, joined from a counter QR with no app to download. Square Loyalty suits shops already on Square. Rewardtree is a free option that works beside any till. Prices below were checked 27–28 September 2026.

Square Loyalty's points come from Square Point of Sale, Square Invoices or Square Online, so it's built for businesses that sell through Square. Rewardtree works beside any till because staff scan the card with a phone. Loyally's Starter plan covers one location and the owner only.
What each one is good for
- Square Loyalty: shops that already take every payment through Square and want points to add up with no scan. More in how much Square Loyalty costs in Australia.
- Stamp Me: businesses happy for customers to download an app first, with a 30-day trial that doesn't ask for a credit card.
- Loopy Loyalty: businesses with up to 10 locations that are happy to pay in US dollars. If you want to download your customer list, that's on the top plan.
- Loyally: a single-location owner who wants a low US-dollar price and cards in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.
- BonusQR: trying a free plan with Apple and Google Wallet cards. Its page shows prices in several currencies, Australian dollars included.
- Rewardtree: Australian businesses that want a free program in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, beside any till, with unlimited members, locations and staff. The trade-offs: staff scan the card at each visit (there's no till connection), and each business runs one program at a time (stamps or points).
Which should you pick?
- Every sale goes through Square and the fee is small change? Square Loyalty. Points add up by themselves.
- You want it free, in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, beside any till? Rewardtree. BonusQR's free plan is another free option.
- You don't mind customers downloading an app first? Stamp Me is built that way.

Switching without losing customers
Put your Rewardtree QR by the till and ask regulars to join as they come in. For regulars part-way through an old card, a manager (or staff with their own PIN) can add their old stamps by hand in the Merchant app. Add their old stamps and today's stamp in one go, because by default a customer can collect once every 4 hours.

Do my customers need to download an app?#
Not with wallet-card apps: the card goes into Apple Wallet or Google Wallet from a QR scan. Stamp Me says customers first download the Stamp Me app to join. With Rewardtree your customers never need an app; only your staff use the free Merchant app, to scan cards.
Which loyalty apps work with Apple Wallet and Google Wallet?#
Of the apps we checked on 27 September 2026, Rewardtree, Loopy Loyalty, Loyally and BonusQR put cards in both. Stamp Me lets customers save their member code to either after they join in its app. Square's Australian help centre says its loyalty pass is for Apple Wallet only at this time.
What loyalty app works with Square?#
Square Loyalty is built into Square, so points add up on Square sales with no scan. A program that staff scan at the counter also works beside Square, because it doesn't need to connect to the till. Rewardtree works that way: staff scan the customer's card with a phone.
How much should a small business pay for a loyalty program?#
Paid loyalty apps we checked on 27 September 2026 start at US$12 to US$25 a month (billed in US dollars) and go up to A$199 a month + GST for one location (Stamp Me's Elite plan). Square Loyalty is A$49 to A$149 a month per location. You don't have to pay anything: Rewardtree's loyalty program is free forever, and BonusQR has a free plan.
